Dr. Mantell received his undergraduate degree (B.A.) with honors in Biology from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut. His education continued at the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey located in Newark, New Jersey where he received an M.S. and later, a Ph.D. in Anatomy. He received his D.P.M. degree with honors from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. His residency in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery was completed at the renowned Hospital for Joint Disease in New York City. Prior to beginning his practice in Memphis, Dr. Mantell was an Associate Professor of Anatomy at the Fairleigh Dickinson University and the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. The author of numerous publications in the clinical and scientific literature, Dr. Mantell is Diplomate of the National Board of Podiatry Examiners, a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Medicine, the Society of Podiatric Dermatology and an Associate of the American College of Foot Surgeons. He is the former President of the Memphis Podiatric Medical Association and the Tennessee Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Mantell has served as Chairman of the Department of Podiatry at Saint Francis Hospital.
